1. introductions
This rubber tensile stress-strain testing machine is to measure and determine tensile strength, elongation at break, stress at a given elongation, elongation at a given stress, stress at yield and elongation at yield for vulcanized and thermoplastic rubber.
2. test specimen
Dumb-bells or rings specimen can be used to determine the above properties and dumb-bells are preferable.
Dumb-bell test specimen have the following outline:
Standard thickness of the narrow portion shall be 2±0.2mm for types 1, 2,3 and 1±0.1mm for type 4.
Test length of the specimen see following table:
